Discover a cooperative fuelled by the passion of its 100 members, dedicated to the traditional cultivation of unbeatable produce like potatoes, vegetables, apples, cherries and other fruits.
Formed in 1977 by 25 farmers, with other local agricultural businesses joining later, COPAG (the Giudicarie Farmers’ Cooperative) combines the forces of many small farms in the area. Now with around 100 members, COPAG is dedicated to growing potatoes, vegetables, apples, cherries and other fruits. Its symbol is the famous Montagnine potato, which is unique in many ways. These root vegetables are grown between altitudes of 600 and 900 metres on Trentino’s mountains and picked using traditional methods, respecting the natural course of the seasons and the environment. The soil, the mountain air and the expertise of cooperative members give these potatoes their unique taste, adored by the most demanding palates.
