The Dairy of Rumo was founded in 1954 by unifying the turn-based dairies present in the various hamlets of the town.
It carries out its activity in the form of an agricultural cooperative and has 60 breeding members who produce cow's milk. In one year, the dairy collects about 45,000 quintals of milk from the stables and processes it. Many associated stables are located in high mountain farms over a thousand meters above sea level. In 2025, the dairy, the Dairy of Rumo and the Dairy of Mezzana joined their companies to become a single cooperative. This choice was made to face the future with more strength, more ideas, more cohesion, to enhance the territory, but above all to focus on those who produce milk: our breeding partners. Together we can support farms and with them also the milk that every day tells the work, effort and passion of our farmers. We share resources, products, business strategies and vision, with an eye towards a sustainable, authentic, mountainous future.
