sarca river

The Sarca originates from the meeting of several branches fed by the Adamello-Presanella glaciers and the springs of the Brenta Dolomites. It flows through western Trentino to Lake Garda, making it one of the most famous fly fishing rivers in Europe. Crystal-clear waters and pristine banks welcome anglers from all over the world.

The river is managed with exemplary care by two historic local organizations: Associazione Pescatori Alto Sarca, which protects the spectacular mountain stretch and its side streams and Associazione Pescatori Basso Sarca, which manages its rich waters down to the river mouth in Torbole. A unique water journey with two profoundly different souls.
