The Chiese and its valley offer an intimate, authentic, and wild fishing experience, far removed from mass tourism. Characterized by extraordinary biodiversity and cool, oxygenated waters, this river is home to brown trout and marble trout, as well as colorful char in the cold high-altitude waters.
To ensure ecosystem quality and manage permits, two associations collaborate: Associazione Pescatori Alto Chiese, which manages the waters of the Chiese Valley, Val di Daone, and the splendid Val di Fumo, and Associazione Pescatori Roncone, guardian of the biotope of the same name and the neighboring stretches.
