From large valley-floor plains to high-altitude streams, Trentino's water network offers an extraordinary mosaic of environments: major river systems suited for marble trout and grayling, oxygen-rich mid-course streams, mountain brooks hosting native brown trout populations, and Alpine and Prealpine lakes populated by char, pike, whitefish, and numerous other species. In addition to the main rivers, there are other interesting streams for fishing, such as the Vanoi in Eastern Trentino, an Alpine stream known for the quality of its waters and the presence of prized populations of trout, grayling and char, passionately and carefully managed by the Associazione Pescatori Dilettanti Vanoi.
