The Meledrio Stream is an alpine watercourse in the Val di Sole and a tributary of the Noce River. Rising near Campo Carlo Magno and flowing down toward Dimaro, it runs through a picturesque mountain landscape characterized by forests, waterfalls, rapids, and narrow rocky sections.
Its waters are typically cold, clear, and well oxygenated, with a lively current and a riverbed composed of boulders, cobbles, and gravel. The Meledrio is a highly natural and dynamic stream, renowned for its scenic beauty and for providing suitable habitat for wild brown trout.
NK2 is a catch-and-release fly-fishing area, accessible with a standard fishing permit and no advance booking required. The water is almost always clear, the area is easily accessible, and it supports a healthy population of brown trout. It offers excellent opportunities for dry-fly fishing throughout the day.
In October, fishing is permitted only in specific sections of the river (please refer to the regulations of the Associazione Pescatori Solandri).
Recommended techniques
The reserve is dedicated exclusively to catch-and-release fly fishing and is an excellent spot for dry-fly fishing.
